HEAD OF OPERATIONS

POSITION SUMMARY

Pactimo’s strong supply chain partnerships provide our customers with industry leading reliability, quality, and performance technology. The Head of Operations is responsible for supporting sales and profitability by managing all facets of the operations of the business along with the international supply chain process from purchasing raw materials to shipping finished goods to customers. This person will work in close collaboration with an international team, as well as interact consistently with internal stakeholder teams. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of manufacturing, preferably in the apparel industry. This role reports to the company’s CEO and is based in Denver, Colorado.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage Purchasing and Forecasting

  • Collect forecasts from company’s main divisional teams.
  • Manage yield and purchase requirement calculations.
  • Manage China purchasing via the company’s Asian office.
  • Manage non-China direct purchasing from the Denver office.
  • Manage vendor and rep relationships.
  • Negotiate pricing, MOQ’s, terms, lead times.
  • Optimize purchase orders (price breaks, MOQ’s, lead times, etc.)
  • Manage order consolidation and choice of shipping method for transport of raw materials to the factory.

 

Manage Shipping of Finished Goods and Raw Materials

  • Manage bulk shipment of finished goods from factory to warehouse for e-comm fulfillment.
  •  Manage direct shipment of custom products to individual global customers.
  • Set up and manage shipping lanes to meet requirements for global fulfillment.
  • Identify and manage relationships with all shipping vendors.
  • Negotiate and maintain best pricing available.
  • Choose method of shipping, balancing cost and lead times.
  • Ensure compliance with all government and business regulations and policies in destination countries.
  • Track government policies as they change.
  • Duties, tariffs, HTS codes, VAT, GST, HST, importer of record.
  • Work with finance to obtain relevant duty drawbacks, etc.


Manage HTS Codes

  • Correctly categorize all product SKU’s for US and other countries.


Coordinate Production 

Help set and achieve targets and standards for cost, quality, and delivery times.

  • Liase with Asia office and our production partners.
  • Communicate forecasts and production orders.
  • Collaborate on capacity planning.
  • Manage landed cost calculations.
  • Review and place change order requests.
  • Maintain peak production/cost efficiency
  • Track shipping of finished goods resolving timing and execution issues as they arise.


Management Team

  • Depending upon experience, this person may become a member of the company’s management team.

Help Oversee and Manage Company Master Calendar

·      Assist CEO with overseeing the Company Master Calendar and occasionally lead Monthly Calendar meetings

·      It is very important that this role has a full understanding of the company calendar and how each department impacts the others, assist with keeping other departments on track and hitting deadlines



II. Branded Operations

 

Manage Branded Inventory and 3PL Partners

  • Work with our 3PL partners to ensure that inventory is accurate and product is being received in a timely manner 
  • Consider what to do with inventory that’s not on the website and how to sell it 

Production Ordering

  • Submit production orders/effectively manage inventory            
  • Submit PO’s to our factory, any delays with production ordering will delay launches and it is important that these are submitted in accordance with the Company Calendar
  • Deliver production updates to Ecomm, Marketing and entire Branded Team                         
  • Any delays on production should be communicated to Marketing and Ecomm quickly so that we can make any needed adjustments to the Marketing Calendar
  • Work with president to effectively manage inventory, striving to find the balance between having enough to sell but not excess 

Pricing

  • Work with CEO to determine MSRP’s at the beginning of each season
  • Determine product pricing at the beginning of each season 
  • Work with the Head of Product to thoroughly understand the features and benefits of each product and where it sits in the marketplace 
  • Research competitor pricing and come up with a recommended MSRP to review with the President 
  • Determine discounts during sale periods 
  • Work with CEO to determine proper discounts during each sale and submit discounts to the Ecomm and Marketing team on time 

Forecasting

  • Submit seasonal forecast and re-forecasts in accordance with the company calendar
  • Work with the CEO to determine the forecasted growth by product each season
  • Submit forecast and re-forecasts on time, according to the Forecast Calendar 

Business Updates

  • Update CEO on Branded weekly sales by revenue source (US, UK and Team Stores) 
  • Submit an update to the CEO on how the Branded division is performing year over year and performing to its goals each week 
  • Make suggestions on how we can consistently achieve our goals 
  • Work with the Custom division to help manage Branded product in Team Stores 
  • Help grow revenue in the Custom Team Stores by ensuring that branded product is active and the correct product mix is being offered 
  • Deliver sales by product to the CEO each quarter 
  • Run sales reports by product and review with CEO to identify which products are selling and those that are not selling well
  • Represent the operational side of the Branded business and present any challenges to the team 
  • Understand how each department impacts the others and ask questions to the other managers to ensure that we aren’t missing anything 


REQUIREMENTS

·      A demonstrated ability to be a collaborative, positive team player.

·      Excellent communicator, highly organized, and self-motivated,

·      5 years+ experience in supply chain and/or logistics positions.

·      Experience in the apparel industry preferred.

·      Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite products.

·      Minimum of a bachelor’s degree.

·      Being a cyclist is a plus, but not required.

·      This position is hybrid and requires at least 3 days per week in office.

·      Some travel may be required.


SALARY AND BENEFITS

The pay for this position has a salary range of $90,000-120,000. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, and experience.
