Summary

The successful candidate is responsible for managing Wealth and Institutional Asset Transition functions, providing leadership and guidance to the Custody Transition & Account Services (CTAS) function.

This individual will provide regional leadership and strategic direction with global influence for all operational activities relating to asset transition activity, for clients of varying complexity and frequency, utilizing industry knowledge and best practice whilst influencing the design and development of underlying Northern Trust architecture supporting this.

We have a balanced hybrid working model to ensure you get the flexibility you need, and the successful candidate will spend their time between working in the office and working from home.

Major Duties:

  1. Seasoned leader with relevant business experience, and broad asset transition functional expertise, with a focus on proactive efficiency and strategic development of global model.
  2. Works closely with front office service teams on all pre-onboarding activities; aligns closely with stakeholders and other operational delivery teams.
  3. Oversees operational teams focused on the transition of all assets and cash between prior/new custodians, and between Northern Trust accounts. Ensures events are completed within service level agreements, are executed accurately and timely, sets both short and long-term priorities.
  4. Data driven decisioning with a focus on strategic efficiency development within centre of excellence projects.
  5. Participates in the client onboarding and lifecycle management work streams to improve client experience and to optimize the end-to-end processing.
  6. Manages and meets regional finance plans ensuring cost effectiveness of resources and operational delivery.

Qualifications:

  1. A College or University degree or equivalent years of management experience in client servicing and operations is required.
  2. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and strong negotiation skills are required.
  3. Critical thinking, decision-making, problem-solving skills as well as technical aptitude are needed to navigate systems and research/resolve problems.
  4. Leadership and organizational skills are required to determine the Business Unit's goals, resources needed, and to assess and develop the skills of staff.
