The senior analyst will report directly to the VP of finance and support a variety of areas as MPS continues to grow. A successful candidate will be able to provide high quality management of the data, analyze trends, make recommendations, and work cross functionally to optimize our investments. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are critical.


Requirements:


  1. Six to ten years of demonstrated responsibility and knowledge of the planning and forecasting function in a high technology company.
  2. Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, processes, model building, accounting, and reporting.
  3. Strong communication and influencing skills with business partners and peers at all levels of the organization.
  4. Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and to take direction quickly and effectively from management.
  5. Strong systems and Excel skills with an aptitude for learning new systems and software.

Essential Functions:


  1. Drive the planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis for the overall company operating expense budget and headcount.
  2. Forecasting and Reporting for the company capital budget and depreciation forecast.
  3. Support various parts of the earnings process including peer analysis, management presentations, and trend analysis.
  4. Identify and drive automation and efficiency activities across finance processes.
  5. Coordinate with the Director of FP&A to perform revenue analysis including average selling price analysis, shipment and backlog to forecast analysis.
  6. Support product line analysis as well as various strategic initiatives as defined by the VP of Finance.
  7. Support monthly close, analyze monthly results, provide variance explanations.
  8. Cross-train in the operational functions of the Corporate FP&A manager.

Education:


  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field required.
  2. MBA or CPA is preferred.

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The base salary range for this position in Washington is $100,000 - $140,000.
