Job Summary:
Responsible to safely load and unload tanker truck/trailer and operate tractor trailer combinations.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. CDL Class A (tractor-trailer) license with doubles, triples, tankers endorsements.
2. Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, medical card and acceptable driving record.
3. Minimum 6 months driving experience.
4. Must be available to work the day, night, and weekend shifts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained.
2. Accurately complete daily vehicle inspection forms.
3. Perform daily housekeeping on truck.
4. Safely operate and maintain truck.
5. Properly load, secure and unload material.
6. Accurately complete load tickets where applicable.
7. Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations. Self-motivated, team player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
8. Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.) Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and mangers/supervisors.
9 Ensure OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
