Description:
The Financial Planning & Investments Manager is an integral part of the organization. Responsibilities include synchronizing all aspects of the fee-based financial planning process, managing the investment research and oversight of the firm’s investment decisions, developing practice management systems, cultivating a relationship with clients of our firm, coordinating review meetings and being a great team player.
Responsibilities & Activities:
- Financial Planning:
- Coordinates with Senior Advisors to develop, service, and deliver financial planning to the firm’s clients
- Handles all aspects of the financial planning process, including data gathering, data entry, analysis, developing recommendations and strategies, account aggregation, plan delivery and monitoring.
- Organizes strategic planning opportunities such as tax-loss harvesting or market volatility conversations
- Utilize eMoney, RightCapital and Holistiplan to provide full scale financial plans
- Investment Management:
- Actively monitors the firm’s model investment portfolios and coordinates with leadership to determine appropriate changes or modifications.
- Meets with investment wholesalers to determine appropriate wealth management opportunities
- Utilize Nitrogen/Riskalyze to research funds and manage model holdings
- Practice Management:
- Follows segmented client service model to service all clients.
- Regularly scheduled check-in calls
- Schedules and coordinates review meetings
- Creates an extraordinary client experience
- Improve upon existing practice management systems and develop new processes to drive efficiency.
- Identifies opportunities for additional business and referrals from existing clients
- Coordinates new account paperwork for new and existing clients with our New Business Team
- Updates Internal CRM with client details and workflows
- Sends bi-weekly market commentary newsletter (from pre-approved sources)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- CFP® Certification and/or similar industry designations
- Extreme attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent attitude and an extraordinary client service orientation
- A genuine interest in serving and caring for other people
- A burning desire to succeed
- An ability to juggle multiple tasks, handle stress, and operate on tight deadlines
- Past use and knowledge of programs such as RightCapital, E-Money Advisor, Holistiplan, Nitrogen/Riskalyze, etc.
- FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 (or 66), and State Life & Health Licenses
- Ability to work independently while also serving as part of a team
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday; 9am - 5pm
Work Location: Tysons Corner, Virginia
