As an AWS ISV Partner Sales Strategist in Global Financial Services, you will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mindshare and adoption of Amazon Web Services in the Financial Services industry. Your mission is to be the global lead for selling with Data/Analytics/AI ISV Partners in Global Financial Services, driving joint sales with these Partners to accelerate AWS adoption in Financial Services.

In this role, you will be responsible for the sales of AWS partner solutions in the largest global financial services accounts, leading to increased AWS adoption in the industry. You will leverage your industry and technology experience to establish strategic business and technical relationships with Data leaders (Chief Data Officers, AI/ML leads) within the largest Global Financial Services customer accounts, earning their trust by providing guidance on how AWS partner solutions can help them achieve their business goals. Similarly, you will establish strategic relationships with executives and sales leaders within top Data/Analytics/AI partners to drive critical opportunities, establish, build and execute strategic sales plans, and establish joint marketing initiatives.

You will also be a strategic lead for Data/Analytics/AI ISV solutions in global financial services, and will be responsible for building and the overall executing sales strategy and plans across the field organization. You will be a subject matter expert on these ISVs and the use of their solutions across financial services customer segments, including Banking, Capital Markets, Insurance, and Payments.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Establish a strategic business plan for Data/Analytics/AI ISV Partner sales in financial services.
  2. Manage a portfolio of ISV Partners to support sales and grow their business across the financial services industry in collaboration with ISV account teams and Partner Development resources.
  3. Own customer adoption/revenue growth of Data/Analytics/AI solutions for a targeted set of accounts in Global Financial Services. This includes developing account plans, tracking the ISV solution adoption, and meeting revenue goals. Execute this plan with account teams, sales leadership, service teams, etc.).
  4. Be the visible subject matter expert on ISV Partners for Data/Analytics/AI in financial services how solutions will drive customer success. Represent AWS in this area at AWS and 3rd-party events, and publish internal and external artifacts to establish ongoing industry credibility.
  5. Establish/maintain relationships with ISV sales leaders and field sales teams.
  6. Understand the legal, compliance, security, technical, and procurement considerations and certifications specific to financial services that impact your partners.
  7. Establish collaborative relationships with AWS account teams, Partner Development teams, and other internal resources to maximize AWS Partner engagement in customer accounts.
  8. Effective management of business recording and reporting using Salesforce.com and other internal Amazon systems.

A day in the life

This role will be a mix of direct engagement with financial services customer leaders, AWS account teams, AWS ISV Partner representatives, and other sales resources as you pursue the generation, closure, and delivery of ISV Partner opportunities that help financial services customers meet their business needs. This requires regular efforts in these areas:

  1. Research and planning to ensure there is field sales awareness of Data/Analytics/AI ISV solutions.
  2. Relationship development with the customer Data/Analytics/AI leaders and specialists. Meeting with them regularly to provide guidance on AWS services and ISV solutions that will benefit the customer.
  3. Relationship development with the internal AWS teams who work with the ISVs in your portfolio to ensure a consistent customer and partner experience.
  4. Building networks of relationships with AWS Partner counterparts who are also working with our mutual end customer accounts to improve collaboration and better meet end customer needs.
  5. Managing meetings and connections that bring stakeholders together to raise customer accelerate customer adoption.
  6. Collaborating with AWS ISV Partners on proposal responses and proactive initiatives to increase customer awareness of partner solutions, such as joint customer presentations and events, industry marketing, and other pipeline generating activities.
  7. Working with internal programs to secure support and resources to help accelerate customer adoption of ISV Partner solutions.
  8. Managing operational reporting on pipeline opportunities, customer engagement, and escalations to provide clear insight to customer and partner progress.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
  • 5+ years of professional or military experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
  • Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
