SUMMARY
This position is perfect for someone experienced in the commercial truck and/or automotive industry, with extensive knowledge in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex diesel engines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Create and maintain fleet database
- Ensure vehicle cost is collected and accurate for all company vehicles
- Reviews and establishes fleet maintenance practices and procedures and ensures quality controls using Fleetio
- Ensures that each vehicle is equipped with telematic device to monitor GPS
- Develops plans to ensure fleet compliance with federal, state, and local government laws and regulations
- Work with external vendors for maintenance, upfitting, and procurement of company vehicles
- Inspects and evaluates fleet equipment, recommends repair and/or replacement of existing equipment, and maintains records of fleet inventories, assignments, and usage
- Develops policy on acquiring, maintaining, using, and selling of all company vehicles.
- Analyzes, makes recommendations, and prepares reports for the solution of budgetary, procurement, procedural, and other fleet issues.
- Develops training program for current employees on utilization of fleet maintenance program and GPS devices.
- Other duties may be assigned.

COMPENSATION

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- One year of related experience and/or training preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written or oral form.
- Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
