Job Title: .NET Developer with Kafka Expertise

Location: Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid Model)

Job Type: Full-Time


Role Overview: As a .NET Developer with Kafka expertise, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable applications that leverage Kafka for real-time data processing. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that meet business requirements and enhance the overall user experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain .NET applications that integrate with Apache Kafka for message streaming and processing.
  • Collaborate with product owners and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Implement best practices for data modeling, message serialization, and error handling in Kafka.
  • Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using ASP.NET Core to facilitate real-time data processing.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot application performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the development team.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to .NET and Kafka.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a .NET Developer, with a strong understanding of C# and the .NET framework.
  • Experience with Apache Kafka, including knowledge of producers, consumers, and stream processing.
  • Familiarity with Kafka ecosystem tools such as Schema Registry and Kafka Connect is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API development.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., SQL Server, MongoDB).
  • Proficient in version control systems, preferably Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Docker and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their integration with Kafka.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
