Job Title: Data Analyst
Job Summary
The Analyst role involves a wide range of activities related to content creation, data analysis, and customer support for USCIS. The position requires strong research and analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to provide insightful solutions based on data analysis.
Responsibilities Include
- Assisting in writing content for Contact Center scripts, fact sheets, Hot Topics, USCIS Internet and intranet sites, and other USCIS products
- Updating and revising existing Contact Center scripts, fact sheets, guides, Hot Topics, and USCIS web content in accordance with changes in immigration and nationality law, regulations, policy, and USCIS business processes
- Monitoring the USCIS website, identifying changes, and updating the USCIS Gateway System as needed
- Providing customer support for the Service Request Management Tool (SRMT) by creating usernames, activating, and deactivating accounts
- Creating and editing SRMT macros and forms matrix
- Conducting research and working with OPA staff to obtain information for writing and updating USCIS products
- Maintaining and tracking daily status reports on tasks and projects, providing status updates to USCIS management
- Providing English/Spanish language translations for online document script within EXA
- Assisting with data collection and reporting for call monitoring and quality assurance projects
- Performing data collection using quantitative and qualitative analysis to study and evaluate program needs
- Using Microsoft Office Suite to produce statistical data reports, charts, and presentations
- Preparing presentations and management briefings
- Conducting research to assist program needs
- Assisting in the preparation of management reports, defining and evaluating problems, and recommending solutions
Required Qualifications And Skills
- Associate's degree in Mathematics, General Business, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics
- 3+ years of experience working as a Data Analyst, Business Data Analyst, or similar role
- Technical experience with data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques
- Experience with reporting packages, databases (SQL, etc.), and programming (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks)
- Experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.)
- Experience in collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating information
- Experience with queries, report writing, and presenting findings
Work Setting And Environment
- Monday - Friday, normal working hours
- Work is to be performed onsite at Camp Springs, MD
