Job Requirements / Description

Purpose of the Job:

To perform, manage and direct all maintenance & janitorial functions required on Redeemer’s campus.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

  • Knowledge of construction & maintenance; knowledge of Google Suite.
  • Self-motivated; adaptable; able to follow instructions; able to set & achieve goals.
  • Must have a servant’s heart and maintain a good attitude in difficult situations.
  • Must be, or be willing to become, a member of Redeemer Church.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the entire church property.
  • Main point of contact for all outside facilities and grounds vendors.
  • Responsible for room setup for events and meetings as directed, including setting HVAC.
  • Responds to all emergencies and makes assessments. Works closely with the Director of Administrative Ministries to find solutions when necessary.
  • Responsible for developing a routine maintenance program.
  • Assume all responsibility for repair of electrical, plumbing, drywall, and painting. When an issue arises where we do not have the skill/equipment to fix a problem, contact the appropriate contractor.
  • Maintain janitorial supplies.
  • Responsible for building security.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be willing and able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Operate Genie lift.
