Preparation of audit workpapers relative to payroll liabilities and expenses.Remittance of ORS and Friend of the Court payments on a bi-weekly basis, and review of the payroll tax liability worksheet prepared by the Payroll Manager.Requires knowledge of employee positions, job classifications and fringe benefits, as well as the related laws and regulations.Understanding of the Colleague payroll software and how it integrates with the other Colleague modules is also required.Also requires the ability to prepare various SSRS reports.Calculate President's farmhouse stipend and gross up payment to cover taxes.Also responsible for year-end payroll accrual journal entries and summarizing this information in workpapers for the annual financial statement audit.Financial accounting and reporting for the Delta College Foundation. Includes full responsibility for all general ledger activity and the related reconciliation between the Foundation's Blackbaud and Colleague general ledger systems.Involves working closely with Foundation staff and Controller to ensure that all transactions are properly recorded in accordance with FASB accounting principles and reconciled with contributions recorded by Foundation staff in the Raiser's Edge benefactor database.Provide internal control and procedural guidance to Foundation staff to ensure accuracy of accounting for contributions.Perform second level review of pledge reports prepared by Foundation staff for accounting accuracy and general ledger recording.Analyze and prepare Foundation transfers to the College for review and approval by the Foundation Executive Director.Prepare financial reports for the Foundation's Executive Director and Board of Directors.Requires comprehensive understanding of Blackbaud Raiser's Edge and general ledger software and related system maintenance/upgrades.Prepare Foundation's year-end audited financial statements, audit workpapers, annual IRS Form 990 and State of Michigan License to Solicit.Provide support to independent auditors during annual audit.Monitor Endowed Teaching Chair (ETC) award accounts and calculate ETC stipends using models in Colleague to ensure stipend plus associated benefits does not exceed funds available in the award.Prepare scholarship funding spreadsheet for Foundation staff to use when awarding scholarships to stay within budget. Accounting for all College capital assets (equipment, building and infrastructure) relative to GASB 34/35 requirements, including purchases, disposals, gains/losses and depreciation.Involves working closely with Facilities Management, Purchasing and others in the College
