Associate Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (Tenure Track)

Position: Tenured or Tenure-Track Associate Professor

We are seeking faculty members with strong research programs in auditory and/or vestibular research. Areas of investigation include, but are not limited to:

  1. Hair cell and auditory/vestibular nerve physiology
  2. Inner ear development and regeneration
  3. Otoacoustic emissions
  4. Mathematical modeling to better understand auditory function
  5. Cochlear implant and auditory brainstem implant outcomes
  6. Hearing aid/cochlear implant sound processing strategies

This search is open to a wide range of potential candidates. Either animal research or human subjects research is acceptable.

The predominant criterion for appointment in a tenured or tenure-track position is a major commitment to research and teaching. Faculty rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the candidate.

Qualifications: The ability to conduct high-impact, federally-funded independent research, evidenced by a substantial track record of successful research, publication, and funding history. A PhD or MD degree is required. The successful candidate will be interested in being an active member of a vibrant clinical department and interacting with various individuals, including graduate students, post-docs, residents, other research PIs, and clinicians. This position will also involve the mentorship of junior faculty members and the education of trainees.

Salary: The annual base salary range for this position is $111,756- $147,084.
