About the role:

As a Tax Senior, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive tax consulting and return preparation services. Your responsibilities will include conducting in-depth tax research, strategic tax planning, and preparing supporting documentation for various tax returns and related projects. You will collaborate with a diverse array of entities, including corporations, partnerships, estates, trusts, and non-profit organizations. Additionally, you will gain exposure to multiple industries, such as real estate, consumer products, service sectors, and non-profits. In this position, you will also oversee staff, providing guidance and reviewing their work across all projects to ensure excellence and compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review tax returns for pass-through entities, C-corporations, trusts, and high-net-worth individuals.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.

Conduct thorough research and strategic planning to address client issues in accordance with applicable tax laws.

Possess a foundational understanding of U.S. tax laws related to the ownership of foreign entities by U.S. persons.

Implement strategies to minimize tax liabilities through informed application of relevant laws and regulations.

Provide expert assistance during tax audits and respond effectively to inquiries from tax authorities.

Engage directly with clients on income tax matters, transactional consulting, tax research, and compliance.

Proactively anticipate client questions and offer practical, implementable solutions.

Advise, guide, and mentor team members, fostering their professional development.

Train and manage staff effectively, ensuring optimal performance.

Requirements

2-5 years of prior experience in public accounting

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire
