Network Engineer

Our client base is growing so our team is growing as well! We are adding another Network Engineer to our team with the knowledge and experience to work in any number of technologically diverse environments. In this role, you will work together with team members on day-to-day operations and network projects to ensure delivery of network-related services to our clients.

Please note: this position may require traveling within the US and internationally approximately 50% of the time.

Some responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Participate in day-to-day network operations and administration based on customer needs
• Collaborate on projects including solution architecture, design, and implementation
• Participate in presales opportunities and deliver customer presentations as requested
• Interface with customer IT contacts as well as third-party vendors
• Obtain and/or maintain technical skills and certifications required to meet the requirements of our clients
• Document operational processes and procedures to optimize support and management of deployed systems
• Engage effectively with other team members and vendors
• Be proactive in identifying and fixing potential problem areas
• Provide after-hours support for scheduled activities including nights and weekends as required
• Assist with non-networking related engineering and operational customer obligations as needed
• All other duties as assigned

Skills:

• Experience with Cisco wireless (9800 series controllers) and Cisco switching
• Strong Experience deploying and managing LAN, WAN, and WLAN technologies
• Strong knowledge in implementation and troubleshooting Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, ASA devices
• Working knowledge of other enterprise class switches (L2/L3), routers, load balancers and firewalls
• Proficient in network routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP
• Ability to configure and troubleshoot VPNs
• Technical expertise in network, storage, virtualization, and compute across multiple vendors
• Experience with diverse environments

Experience and Education:

• 2+ years administrating enterprise environments with 24x7x365 uptime requirements
• 2+ years deploying and integrating solutions
• BS/BA degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
• Prior experience working in Professional Services for an IT Consulting company
• Industry technical certifications in Cisco and Palo Alto preferred
