About the Role

At LendingClub, Product Marketers have end-to-end accountability for their products strategy and execution. We’re looking for a Sr Product Marketing leader to lead marketing for our largest business line - Personal Loans (PL). The ideal leader for this role brings a strategic, creative, analytical and results-oriented growth mindset. Armed with a passion for finding unique and innovative ways to market products, acquire and engage members, you'll bring together an incredible team of marketers to create activities that drive the revenue, growth, and brand value. This includes responsibility for building the go-to-market and engagement strategies. You’ll build compelling and differentiated positioning for personal loan products with a customer-centric approach to deliver a best-in-class multi-channel experience. Product Marketing is the heartbeat of the company and the voice of the customer; you will keep the organization connected to our Member needs through research and analysis to ensure we continually innovate to serve them best.

What You'll Do

  1. Be the Voice of the Consumer / Members: You will build a deep understanding of the market, the competitive landscape, consumer needs, and how LendingClub’s offering can best deliver on those needs in a compelling and differentiated way. Iterate on product positioning and proof points through ongoing research and analysis to meet more of our member’s needs better.
  2. Lead Strategy & Execution: Develop marketing strategies that drive new member acquisition and existing member loan growth and brand preference/loyalty. Develop annual strategy and quarterly roadmaps across all PL products, services, and customer segments to deliver against growth and engagement KPIs within defined budgets.
  3. Work with marketing channels owners and creative strategy team to optimize channel mix and deliver standout campaigns that support strategy and growth agenda.
  4. In conjunction with marketing ops, develop detailed go-to-market delivery schedules and ensure flawless execution.
  5. Champion opportunities to innovate for our members through increased focus on integrated marketing and greater personalization.
  6. Improve the end-to-end borrower experience including funnel optimization, new feature development, and customer engagement in partnership with the product team.
  7. Ensure alignment around product prioritization and product launches to drive highest value and engagement for members.
  8. Produce content that connects with members, promoting LendingClub's products, services, and membership benefits.
  9. Have a strong analytical mindset, be comfortable directing analyses, interpreting and summarizing data, and drawing actionable insights from it.

Innovation

  1. Work with product and financial innovation teams to develop enhanced membership offerings.
  2. Support the development of new products through insights to refine value props and identify compelling position and branding against design targets.
  3. Demonstrated experience in synthesizing and translating marketing needs into product requirements.
  4. Partner with head of Product Management to develop compelling product vision/direction to support experiences that reward and recognize members.

Leadership

  1. Lead cross-functional teams through a rapid growth and change cycle.
  2. Comfortable setting clear goals to ensure success.
  3. Create a solid engagement model that drives collaboration across teams to ensure flawless delivery and goal achievement via solid and aligned measurement frameworks.

About You

  1. 12+ years of relevant marketing management experience including research, positioning, messaging, and product launches in a B2C environment. Financial services experience a plus.
  2. 8+ years of experience in big product/performance marketing. Passionate for driving growth through innovative product management and GTM strategies, and for solving complex problems.
  3. Demonstrated data-driven decision-making used to drive adoption and inform positioning and go-to-market strategy.
  4. Demonstrated ability in driving engagement and repeat business from existing customer base.
  5. Ability to think strategically and translate strategy into actionable plans/tactics with clear outline of objectives and priorities across products, driving the momentum and flawless delivery across a cross-functional team.
  6. Exceptional leader with ability to prioritize competing demands and maximize team performance.
  7. A compelling storyteller with a strategic and analytical mindset; you have deep experience engaging and educating a senior executive audience.
  8. Have excellent written, verbal, and visual communications skills.
  9. An ability to sell ideas well through creative and innovative presentations.
  10. Bring extraordinary social skills; ability to build positive relationships with cross-functional team members and lead through influence.
  11. A high-energy and willing attitude—you love to jump in and help wherever you can.
  12. Bachelor's degree required, MBA is a plus.

Work Location

San Francisco. We are currently working a hybrid schedule and our teams are in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Travel Requirements

Compensation

The target base salary range for this position is $210,000-$245,000. The position is also eligible to receive a bonus (which is based on company performance, employee performance, and eligible earnings), equity, and benefits. Our salary ranges, other compensation and benefits offered are determined by role, experience level, and location.
