Role: Non-Profit Senior Accountant (Contract)

Location: Washington, DC

Pay Rate: $40-50/hour

Job Responsibilities:

1. Perform monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
2. Record monthly fixed asset depreciation and amortization of prepaid expenses.
3. Record adjusting and reclassification journal entries.
4. Perform interim and annual fixed asset inventory.
5. Assist with preparation of the annual budget.
6. Perform year-end audit reconciliations.
7. Assist with the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
2. Three to five years of relevant job experience.
3. Knowledge of GAAP required.
4. Knowledge of SAGE INTACCT required.
5. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
6. Ability to work independently on assigned duties and with minimum supervision on special projects.
