Our client is a leader in developing and manufacturing products for the world's top beauty brands. For over 20 years, they have worked with brands big and small, mass and prestige, established and emerging, to innovate clean and naturally effective skin/body, hair, and home care products. As they continue to grow their digital marketing presence, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced E-commerce Digital Manager with strong expertise in Shopify to join the team.
This role will be on a contract basis, with potential to convert. Role will require
around 10 hours per week, with flexibility to scale up and down.
Overview:
The E-commerce Digital Manager (Shopify) will play a pivotal role in driving online sales growth, as they will manage, update and enhance the overall digital experience for customers. This person will mainly be responsible for managing and optimizing the site via Shopify, handling upload of products, landing page and product page refreshes, module changes within the website and more. Someone with experience in coding, template customization, and email marketing integration/stragey (via Klaviyo) is essential to success. Overall, this role requires an individual with deep expertise in Shopify, digital marketing, and e-commerce strategies across CPG and Beauty/Wellness Products.
Key Responsibilities:
Shopify Store Management:
• Oversee the daily operations of our Shopify store, ensuring a smooth and user-friendly shopping experience.
• Handle web, landing page, and product page refreshes, including adding or changing modules as needed.
• Work with Shopify templates, coding customizations as necessary to enhance functionality and site performance.
E-commerce Strategy:
• Develop and implement strategies to drive online sales, optimize conversions, and increase revenue.
• Lead the planning and execution of product launches, seasonal campaigns, and promotions on the Shopify platform.
• Conduct A/B testing and CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) to continuously improve user experience and sales outcomes.
Digital Marketing Integration:
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create and manage digital campaigns, with a focus on email marketing via Klaviyo.
• Ensure all digital marketing efforts are seamlessly integrated with our Shopify store, including email campaigns and more.
• Analyze the performance of digital campaigns and provide actionable insights for optimization.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
• Monitor key e-commerce metrics, such as traffic, conversion rates, AOV (Average Order Value), and CLV (Customer Lifetime Value), to assess the effectiveness of strategies and campaigns.
• Generate regular reports on e-commerce performance and present actionable insights to senior management.
Customer Experience & Support:
• Monitor and escalate any concerns with customer experience as it relates to the site - this will helpensure a seamless post-purchase experience, addressing any issues related to online orders, returns, and customer inquiries.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
• Collaborate with other teams (product development, graphic design/marketing members, supply chain, etc.) to ensure accurate updates via Shopify. Help ensure inventory levels and fulfillment processes align with e-commerce demands.
• Coordinate with the creative team to develop engaging content, product descriptions, and visuals that resonate with our target audience.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in e-commerce management, with a strong focus on Shopify.
• Proven ability to manage Shopify store operations, including coding, template customization, and module updates.
• Familiarity with Klaviyo and email marketing strategies, particularly as they relate to e-commerce.
• Experience with CPG products; beauty industry experience is a plus, but not required.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including SEO, SEM, social media, and email marketing.
• Proficient in Google Analytics, Shopify analytics, and other e-commerce performance tools.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
• Creative problem-solver with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
