Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for a C3BMC Principal Systems Engineer to support MDA. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

1. Engage in Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM) systems engineering efforts, including engaging in Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) technical engineering and integration, future concepts, new functionality, and multi-national exchange designs.
2. Provide interoperability engineering, analysis, and technical guidance for C2BMC, MDS Elements, and external capability integration and interface design efforts between MDA/BC, BC contractors, and MDS Elements.
3. Participate in technical baseline efforts to develop specifications and interfaces for current and future C3BM spirals.
4. Support critical integration and interoperability product evaluations based on future product integration into MDA/BC spiral builds through interface, requirements, and C2BMC product definitions.
5. Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

1. 12+ years of experience required.
2. Master’s Degree in STEM required.
3. Knowledge of LRDR and TPY-2 (FBM) interoperability required.
4. Proficiency in system engineering and execution processes.
5. Able to apply network engineering and solutions to support real-world tests, integration, and operations.
6. Must be a US Citizen and have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
7. Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Self-starter with enthusiasm and capacity to learn in a fast-paced environment.
2. Work within a collaborative environment composed of Government, prime contractor, sub-contractor, and supporting contractor personnel in a badge-less contractor environment.
3. Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency, Ballistic Missile Defense System, and/or C3BM Program Office work efforts.
