JIM 'N NICK'S IS ADDING A COMMUNITY SALES MANAGER TO OUR TEAM!


As the Community Sales Manager for Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q, you will be responsible for working with your direct supervisor and local teams to implement strategies that will drive profitable sales and increase brand awareness within the community. This role requires a dynamic and outgoing individual who can build and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community leaders. As a Jim ‘N Nick’s representative you will educate others on our bar-b-q traditions and culture, ultimately turning each new client into a lifelong guest.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Catering Sales: Develop and execute strategies to increase catering sales, including identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction within assigned territory.

• Community Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community leaders to promote Jim 'N Nick’s catering services within assigned territory.

• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client needs and concerns promptly and professionally.

• Event Coordination: Work closely with the Catering Ops Managers to plan and coordinate catering events, ensuring all details provided by the client are managed to provide a seamless and enjoyable experience.

• Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team on local and company-wide campaigns that highlight catering services and community involvement.

• Planning and Tracking: develop plan for assigned territory and track daily outreach, networking activities, and community involvement through CRM software.


QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:

Education / Training / Work Experience

• Restaurant and hospitality experience preferred (1 – 2 years)

• Sales experience preferred (1 – 2 years)

• College degree preferred in hospitality, communication, business or marketing

• Experience in account management (1-2 years preferable)


Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Ability to generate leads that result in profitable catering sales

• Strong understanding of community engagement and relationship-building

• Skilled in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines

• Superior organizational skills and attention to detail

• Proficient in problem-solving, and prioritizing tasks with limited supervision

• Effective active listening and curiosity

• Ability to maintain high confidentiality

• Dependable, flexible, and professional demeanor

• Coachable and trainable

• High standards of personal ethics and professionalism

• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills

• Solid business acumen in sales, finance, and administration

• Availability for varied hours based on business needs

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software

• Passion for barbecue and commitment to high-quality service


Physical Requirements

• Travel up to 30% of the time and the ability to work weekends and evenings as needed

• Some lifting and the movement of moderate loads require a 30-pound lifting requirement

• Responsible for utilizing office equipment. The effective operation of equipment requires the use of all limbs, fingers and the ability to see

• Spend approximately 20% of his/her time standing and walking swiftly, therefore, he/she must have the ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and move freely using all limbs and seeing at close/long distances

• Attend meetings, conferences, workshops, etc. as well as visit Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q locations, vendors, etc.; therefore, he/she must be able to travel autonomously, possibly to other geographical locations, in inclement weather, with little to no prior notification given

• Must be able work under a high degree of stress on a physical, mental and emotional level; this includes performing work in a fast-paced manner and making timely decisions.
