Hello Sunshine is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support corporate financial reporting, forecasting, and planning. With a proven track-record of working on high performing teams, the Senior Financial Analyst will be a change agent, both identifying and delivering efficiencies in all processes. This role requires strong analytical and technical skills, attention to detail and clear communication. This is an important role in ensuring business metrics, goals, and financial discipline remain on track in addition to aiding key operations for the company’s success. This role is based in Los Angeles.
Maintain and regularly update operating and forecasting models for GAAP and cash across our Live-Action Studio (Scripted, Unscripted, Family YA) and Direct-to-Consumer (Reese’s Book Club, Solar social and creative agency, The Home Edit, Hello Sunshine Collective) businesses.
Monthly reporting to both external and internal stakeholders, including variance analysis (budget vs actuals), and other relevant analyses, commentary and dashboards.
Prepare reports and materials for C-suite and Board meetings, as well as ad hoc strategic analyses
Development and support of the processes for the company’s annual budget, reforecasts, and long range plan cycles
Develop strong relationships and liaise with divisional leaders and operational teams providing proactive financial insights and supporting informed decision making
Support business and corporate development initiatives as a trusted and reliable partner
Develop ways to continuously improve existing systems and processes to support a growing, fully integrated, and streamlined finance organization.
Support team objectives of building financial organization that provides transparency, strategic insights, as well as compliance and risk mitigation
Requirements
BS/BA in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field with 2-4+ years of relevant experience.
Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.
Advanced financial modeling skills with ability to build dynamic models from scratch.
Basic accounting knowledge and ability to generate financial statements.
Strong analytical and quantitative ability to identity trends in data, draw conclusions, and make thoughtful recommendations.
Ability to analyze/summarize complex financial data to non-financial executives in support of strategic initiatives.
Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively with other company departments
Independent self-starter; thrives in dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
Background in private equity, investment banking, consulting, or Big 4 accounting.
Experience in the media and entertainment industry, including understanding of Film & TV finance and accounting.
Experience with reporting requirements for a private equity owned company.
Experience with NetSuite, FP&A software and Salesforce.

This position has an estimated base salary range between $90,000 - $120,000
