The Senior Financial Analyst / Finance Manager Soccer Operations will own the Soccer Operations business unit financial model and be responsible for assisting in planning and analysis (e.g., budgeting, forecasting, etc.), ad-hoc financial modeling for strategic or other growth initiatives, the creation and maintenance of recurring reporting requirements, and cost transparency / control of all operational and financial activity with a specific emphasis on our youth and academy programming.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting and Planning - 50%
  • Maintain comprehensive financial models for the Soccer Operations business unit.
  • Assist in the preparation of consolidating annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Identify and evaluate impacts of risks and opportunities through scenario analysis.
  • Support the monthly financial reporting process, including variance analysis, and management reporting.
  • Maintain effective and constant relationships with Soccer Operations personnel.
  • Capital and Cost Management - 25%
  • Assist in the evaluation and measurement of potential investments (Capex).
  • Facilitate and enforce effective controls along the procure-to-pay lifecycle for all expenditures.
  • Identify and proactively report on financial risks.
  • Strategic / Ad-Hoc Projects - 15%
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as needed to support future growth.
  • Compliance and Continuous Improvement - 10%
  • Regularly audit processes to ensure compliance with policies and any external reporting requirements.
  • Identify, scope, and lead projects to enhance departmental processes.
  • Develop, prepare, and measure key performance metrics.
  • Support the development of junior resources within and across functional teams.
  • Cultivate relationships through consistent engagement with departments.
  • All other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Must be proficient in both Spanish and English.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics. Preferably, Master's Degree or MBA.
  • 5+ of progressive experience in financial modeling, planning, and reporting experience.
  • Demonstrated analytical and financial acumen, financial modeling, and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to distill and present complex financial information into digestible outputs for executive leadership.
  • Ability to work well on a team and independently.
  • Aptitude for project management in terms of organizing, leading, and driving cross-functional accountability.
  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of accounting and banking systems.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products. Strong grasp of Excel required.
  • A passion for fútbol is a plus.
