Overview:
The Sr. Manager - National Accounts will provide leadership and strategic direction to drive revenue, strategy, and execution of sales initiatives to ensure the attainment of BISSELL volume and profit objectives. This role leverages leadership, vision, support, and effective resource allocation to develop the overall account relationship, including maintenance and development of new and existing business opportunities with these National Accounts. The Sr. Manager - National Accounts will manage the account P&L along with developing, implementing, and driving coordination of account-specific plans to grow BISSELL Homecare’s market share.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and develop trade customer account base through implementation of overall marketing plan, accomplished by means of account presentations and overall follow-through with retail customers.
- Maintain overall knowledge of the appropriate retail customer base and the most efficient and economical ways to accomplish overall sales and marketing goals of BISSELL.
- Meet customer sales quotas and profit objectives as established by BISSELL; develop annual sales plans and budgets.
- Develop, manage, and execute promotional programs; manage advertising budgets while meeting customer expectations for retail movement of BISSELL products.
- Track and maintain customer orders from initial entry into order system to final delivery; provide necessary information regarding order and shipping status.
- Process and track advertising claims through internal BISSELL system and maintain records of corresponding credit memos.
- Lead effective communication of all retailer information throughout the organization, including Marketing, Customer Service, Retail Account Coordinators, and A/R Coordinators.
- Support planning and implementation of trade shows, store checks, new store openings, store sets, and sales calls.
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
- Sales GCLT lead for key category (if required) and participate in Sales GCLT meetings.
- Manage a Sr. Sales Account Specialist and complete quarterly and annual reviews and any other managerial tasks assigned by HR.

Required Experience / Education:
- Degree minimum: Bachelor’s degree
- Experience level: 8+ years
Specialized Training / Education Preferred:
- 6+ years of relevant experience calling on a major National Account, ideally in CPG or Electronics selling to Mass, Electronics, DIY, or Grocery accounts.
