Structured Finance - Credit Analyst, Associate Director - Global Cross Sector
Fitch Ratings Global Cross Sector Structured Finance Group is looking for a new credit analyst to join our growing team.
This role will be global, but preferred location is Chicago or New York. This person will assume a role in assigning new and monitoring existing ratings of structured finance transactions across a variety of new and developing sectors, authoring market commentary and related research, and providing support to develop new criteria within the group.

We’ll Count on You To:
- Provide analytical support for monitoring ratings within the existing rating portfolio as well as playing the role as a backup analyst or lead analyst for new rating assignments.
- Analyze critical credit, legal and structural elements of new and complex Structured Finance transaction structures.
- Produce quality internal and external written reports including credit committees, criteria, special reports and market commentary.
- Communicate Fitch rating methodology and criteria to issuers and investors.
- Lead and/or support research projects.
- Maintain assigned rating relationships.
What You Need to Have:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, or other quantitative disciplines.
- Relevant Master’s degree is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical thinking.
- Superb attention to detail and time management skills.
- Working knowledge of structured finance is beneficial.
- 3-7 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, proficiency in Excel and Word, strong communication, analytical, organizational, and time-management skills are a must.
- The successful candidate for this position must be able to demonstrate skills that will allow for immediate support of a variety of transactions within the US and globally.
What Would Make You Stand Out:
- Previous exposure to credit rating analysis or credit modeling a plus.
- Industry experience related to digital infrastructure, aviation, solar lending (loans and leases) or other consumer asset classes are all a plus.

FOR NEW YORK ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $135,000. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors.
