As a Surgery Coordinator, your primary responsibility is to facilitate the surgery process for outpatient services in a healthcare setting. You will work under the direct supervision of the Clinic Manager.
Previous experience in healthcare coordination, surgical scheduling, or a related role preferred.
Schedule surgical procedures, coordinating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and operating room staff.
HIPAA privacy and compliance practices.

- Collaborate with surgeons and medical staff to schedule surgical procedures, ensuring optimal utilization of operating rooms, staff, and resources.
- Coordinate surgery schedules with patient preferences, surgeon availability, and clinical priorities.
- Communicate pre-operative instructions, surgical preparations, and post-operative care guidelines to patients in a clear and compassionate manner.
- Address patient inquiries, and concerns, and provide necessary information regarding surgery schedules, insurance coverage, and consent forms.

- One (1) year of outpatient clinic or medical office experience in scheduling and/or authorizations, or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
- Knowledge of state and federal government funding programs, billing and reimbursement guidelines, medical and insurance terminology, and HIPAA privacy and compliance practices.
