The Opportunity
DAT is looking for a Staff Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team working hybrid in Denver, Colorado; Beaverton, Oregon; or remote Seattle, Washington.
Candidate profile
As a Staff Engineer on the Platform Engineering team you will be responsible for collaborating with our other Principal Engineers to design and create the core functionality of our DevSecOps practices for managed container and serverless platforms in AWS cloud. You will also be expected to provide technical leadership in an advisory capacity both inside our department and outside our department to the software engineering and on-prem infrastructure departments. Lastly you will collaborate with our community of Principal Engineers across the Engineering organization to ensure technical solutions are delivered cohesively organization-wide.
The Skills and Experience You'll Bring
  • Work with others to resolve issues in a meaningful and respectful manner
  • Ability to influence technical decisions both internally and to other departments in the organization.
  • Strong CI/CD DevSecOps pipeline experience.
  • Working with open-source tools across an organization.
  • Continuous Deployment best practices knowledge and experience working with tools such as ArgoCD, Helm, and Kustomize.
  • Working knowledge of monitoring tools.
  • Expert-level experience with EKS configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
  • Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code for provisioning, configuration and management using Terraform & CDK.
  • Understanding of networking in AWS & Kubernetes including service meshes, load balancing, and VPCs.
  • Strong scripting language experience i.e., Python, Bash
  • Troubleshooting Kubernetes core issues with system-level services.
  • Experience running Linux workloads and Linux OS fundamentals.
  • Experience with AWS control tower blueprints.
  • Proficiency in modern development practices and systems engineering principles.
Bonus Skills
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and scaling multi-cluster, multi-region, and multi-account infrastructure.
  • Experience in IDP implementations in Org level is a plus

For Colorado-based candidates, in compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the minimum s alary for this role is $145,000.00 + benefits. The maximum compensation for this role can vary significantly depending on your job-related skills and experience.
