Job Summary
The OBGYN Administrative Assistant II (AAII) is a position within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The incumbent will provide general office support to include: greeting visitors, answering and routing department calls, sorting and distributing mail, ordering supplies, providing assistance with department website, WIKI page and calendar content updates, clerical support in tasks related to scheduling entry with various systems and coordinating meetings for all programs. The AAII will support faculty and department chief with maintaining faculty calendars, travel arrangements and overall administrative support. In addition, this position will provide basic administrative support to the following programs: ob/gyn medical student clerkship, residency program and academic affairs.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $25.72 - $36.59 (Hourly Rate).
Department Description
The UCSF Fresno Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN) is a small sized academic department and directs patient care activities at Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC), Family Healthcare Network (FHCN) and several University Centers of Excellence (UCOE) and oversees the education and training of OB/GYN residents at these main sites. The Department's mission is to promote Women's Health in Central California by providing innovative and excellent patient care, training the next generation of physicians, maintaining a positive learning environment that promotes lifelong learning and advancing patient-centered research.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma and three years of related administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge in administrative procedures and processes including word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
- Requires verbal and written communication skills, active listening, critical thinking, multitasking and time management skills.
- Ability to function with minimal direction from supervisor.
- Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines with frequent interruptions and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness.
- Customer service oriented.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under the direction of several individuals.
- Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of and experience in Graduate Medical Education.
- BA or BS Degree in related field (Business, Health Administration, etc.).
