Our client, a sixth-generation, family-owned premier beef importer, is launching a new facility in Missouri. They are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance professional to lead the start-up of food safety operations, establish quality assurance systems, and build a QA team. Once the facility is operational, the selected candidate will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining BRC certification. This hands-on leader will develop SOPs, HACCP plans, and comprehensive food safety programs, while driving continuous improvement, training, and cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Master's in Animal Science, Meat Science, or related fields (BS with experience considered).
- 7-10+ years in food safety, quality, and regulatory roles, with 10+ years in management.
- Extensive experience with HACCP, GFSI, BRC, USDA, and customer interactions.
- Start-up experience, within a company or division, particularly in obtaining a BRC or SQF certification, is highly desired.
This position is located in northwest Missouri. Client is open to remote work initially, with a transition to being onsite full-time in February or March 2025.
