Position: Accountant

Hours: Full-Time

Location: 401 S 12th St., Unit 2 Tampa, FL 33602

Responsibilities:

  1. Support various company accounting functions, including, but not limited to:
  2. Obtaining carrier commission statements and entering relevant details into our internally developed payroll program.
  3. Facilitating updates to Advisor details/banking information and relaying to our Accounts Payable Department for processing.
  4. Assist in fielding and addressing Advisor inquiries regarding payroll and reporting.
  5. Updating/maintaining essential tracking workbooks, generating weekly reporting using existing macros/processes and disseminating to appropriate personnel.
  6. Assist in the compilation of monthly financial records, submitting deliverables to our Parent Company, and booking associated journal entries in QuickBooks.

Requirements:

  1. 1 Year of Accounting experience OR education in accounting, e.g., Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance.
  2. Familiar with Payroll Entries.
  3. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Able to meet regular deadlines and multi-task while maintaining quality organization.
  6. Proficient or familiar with working in Microsoft Excel and willing to evolve their methods and strive for efficiency improvement in all functions.
