Senior Equipment Operator

Job Summary:

The Department of Public Works seeks a qualified candidate for the position of Senior Equipment Operator. This role is responsible for skilled manual work including the operation of heavy equipment, reporting equipment repairs, and maintaining accurate paperwork for work orders. The employee will perform all related duties as required.

Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Up to three (3) years of experience in grounds and roadway maintenance; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Requirements:

• Class D Massachusetts Motor Vehicle Operator’s license at time of hire.
• Hoisting License 2A and CDL Class B with tanker endorsement required within two (2) years of date of hire.
• Starting hourly rate: $31.92.
