Responsibilities:

1. Create, standardize, and document manufacturing processes.
2. Maintain and update BOMs, engineering drawings and documents.
3. Evaluate manufacturing processes and implement approved changes to reduce nonvalue adding activities.
4. Work directly with vendors and part suppliers on quality and/or engineering related issues.
5. Assist Quality and Product Engineers to resolve manufacturing related quality issues.

The Position:

1. Full time, on-site, salaried, exempt position. Newton Scientific offers competitive pay based on qualifications and experience, plus opportunities for annual merit increases and bonuses.
2. Private dedicated office space near the production floor.
3. Paid Total Time Off (TTO - vacation, personal, sick time) accrues 4 weeks per year and increases with your tenure at the company. You will also be eligible for 11 paid holidays annually.

Qualifications:

Required:

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
2. 5+ years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in electromechanical assembly.
3. In-depth understanding of analog electronics and electronic components.
4. Ability to create and modify mechanical engineering designs and drawings for fixtures or existing components, preferably with SolidWorks.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills.
6. Hands-on manufacturing experience.
7. Ability to identify issues and propose improvement plans.
8. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
9. Basic ERP knowledge, ability to maintain BNOMs, create items, etc.
10. Goal oriented, ability to self-direct and follow through on projects.

Preferred:

1. Working knowledge of digital electronics.
2. Programming experience, particularly in Python.
3. Leadership skills, ability to work with and lead manufacturing technicians.
4. Basic 3-D printing experience.
