Vice President of Investments
The Vice President of Investments is responsible for deal sourcing, underwriting, and financial modeling in the acquisition and disposition of company assets. The Vice President of Investments is a key member of the Investment Team, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer/Managing Principal.
The Vice President of Investments should have substantial experience in all property types, financial modeling, underwriting, joint venture structure, and debt markets.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute objectives of COO and Managing Principal
- Conduct market due diligence for potential acquisitions and new developments
- Prepare investment summaries and underwriting for Investment Committee approval
- Source and screen new investment opportunities
- Draft, negotiate, execute, and implement legal documents
- Communicate key underwriting assumptions and drivers
- Complete annual investment performance reporting
- Cultivate Joint Venture relationships for future investment opportunities locally and nationally
Knowledge and Skills

- Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
- Ability to effectively listen, communicate, and perform with internal and external staff in all situations
- Strong computer skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive, etc.)
- Strategic thinker consistently demonstrating clear and concise written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of real estate, lease, property management, and construction terminology, as well as applicable laws and regulations
- Highly organized
- Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality
- Strong base knowledge of industry contacts and network, especially amongst brokerage community
- Must be adept at primary research: market interviews and gathering information from an established and growing network of industry experts
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration (Finance preferred)
- 10 + years of experience in real estate, investment, or consulting in development, feasibility, or similar roles.
