Senior Analyst – Institutional Sales & Service – Boston Office

Mackenzie Investments is accepting applications for the position of Senior Analyst – Institutional Sales & Service based in Boston, MA. The position reports to Head of U.S. Distribution.


The role focuses on the development of new client relationships and the growth of the firm’s assets under management in the United States. The Institutional Sales Associate will be expected to work well in an entrepreneurial environment and support all aspects of the institutional distribution process including direct prospect sales, consultant relations, and client service.


The ideal candidate possesses strong presentation and decision-making skills and is extremely detail oriented, passionate about investments, a strong team player, persistent, and self-motivated.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Assist with all sales activities focused on institutional prospects, consultants, and clients.
  2. Collaborate with teams across the Mackenzie organization to further the team’s sales goals.
  3. Research institutional prospect and consultant organizations to identify new business opportunities and correct points of contact for sales activity.
  4. Prepare pre-meeting briefs and coordinate meeting follow up.
  5. Assist with scheduling of meetings, road shows, and pre-conference preparation.
  6. Monitor all RFP/RFI deadlines. Assist with review of RFPs.
  7. Manage quarterly mailings and sales campaigns.
  8. Become power user of eVestment, SalesForce, FinSearches, Dakota, With Intelligence, and IC Research.
  9. Monitor all data sources for public RFPs and opportunities.
  10. Manage internal reporting of meeting, sales funnel, activity, and progress activity captured in SalesForce.
  11. Proactively address problems and propose improvements to improve the overall sales, CRM, and prospect cultivation process.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree required.
  2. Master’s degree, CFA, and/or CAIA would be considered an asset.
  3. Knowledge of the institutional investment landscape and experience with active public equity strategies preferred.
  4. Passion for capital markets (stocks/bonds) and investing topics.
  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Self-motivated.
  7. Advanced PC skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  8. Developed project and time-management skills.
