Job Description
MANAGER OF TALENT ACQUISITION:
The Manager of Talent Acquisition is responsible for leading a local and remote team to drive the hiring of top talent, while building a strong employment brand for our candidates and employees. This is a hybrid position based in Chicago.
A successful leader in this role will help design and execute effective talent acquisition processes and programs under the guidance of the VP of Talent Acquisition. This will be a hands-on leader that will roll up their sleeves to support the team and ensure business needs are met. Candidates with experience hiring and staffing for a manufacturing company would be an ideal fit.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of recruiters while ensuring that the company’s talent acquisition needs are met, including talent sourcing, talent assessment, hiring processes, workforce planning, recruiting operations, and onboarding.
- Collaborate with business and HR leaders to develop innovative, progressive, results-driven hiring activities that meet current and future needs as the company evolves.
- Manage an effective and responsive recruitment function that successfully delivers all facets of recruitment throughout the organization, conducting various recruitment activities by effectively partnering with hiring managers while generating and maintaining a network of candidates and contractors through university programs, agency partnerships and passive candidate sourcing.
- Utilize metrics to align with current and forecasted business recruitment needs and manage volume and requisition distribution through the TA team.
- Manage the productivity and efficiency of the hiring process against plan through metrics and weekly tracking.
- Provide input to process improvements around systems, tools, and enhanced sourcing capabilities.
- Ensure TA team is trained and up to date on proper usage of recruiting methods and tools.
- Manage the Applicant Tracking System vendor relationship and ensure the development of proper training and documentation for system use and maintenance.
- Manage and mentor employees on performance gaps, career development opportunities, and strategies.
Qualifications
- 5 years Talent Acquisition management experience.
- 7+ years of full life cycle recruiting experience; manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Strong customer orientation and influencing skills.
- Knowledge of workforce planning (forecast, identify specific needs, skills, locations, and behaviors).
- Skilled with reporting and recruiting metrics.
- Advanced knowledge of ATS (iCIMS and Workday); system admin experience a plus.
