DescriptionAs a Technical Trainer on the AWS Cloud Institute team, your primary focus will be leading engaging training sessions that educate and empower our learners. You will be responsible for delivering instructor-led courses covering the foundations of AWS cloud computing, cloud operations, Python development, and introductions to generative AI.You will facilitate interactive classes, answer questions, and provide personalized guidance to help learners master complex technical concepts. Building a sense of community among the student body will be just as important as imparting knowledge. You will collaborate with the curriculum team to review and refine training materials, to meet the evolving needs of our learners and ever-changing world of cloud technology and AI.Strong communication and presentation skills are essential, as you will be interacting with a diverse array of students from varying backgrounds. The ability to break down sophisticated cloud and programming topics into clear, easy-to-understand terms is critical. Prior experience teaching technical subject matter, whether in a classroom or web conferencing setting, is highly preferred.Most importantly, you should have a genuine passion for education and a desire to help our learners achieve their career goals. When we feel supported in the workplace and at home, there’s nothing we can’t achieve in the cloud.Basic Qualifications5+ years of experience in a combination of the following areas: Architecture, IT system design, operations, programming, AI/ML, or advanced technical training (not application level training)Associate level certification or 2+ years of experience with one of the major cloud providers -Experience leading presentations, public speaking, or classroom training for related technology and products or services.Technical Degree (i.e. Computer Science, Information Systems) or relevant work experienceDemonstrate a general understanding of various IT concepts (e.g. Compute, Storage, Networking, Database, Security)Preferred QualificationsHands-on experience with AWS infrastructure servicesExperience designing and developing instructor-led content with technical subject matter content.Recent coding experience, ideally PythonExperience with Windows and Linux at the command line.Demonstrated understanding of generative AI conceptsAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
