Title: Full Stack Developer

Location: Chicago IL, Hybrid role

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Full Stack Developer proficient in both front end and back end technologies, with a primary focus on Node.js and Vue.js. The ideal candidate will have experience with migration projects, particularly transitioning from one UI framework to another. This role will involve an 80:20 split between front end and back end development tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain robust, scalable Node.js applications.
• Design and implement responsive and intuitive user interfaces using Vue.js.
• Lead the migration effort from one UI framework to another, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption to the user experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Write unit tests using JEST and end-to-end tests using Cypress and ViTest to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Manage version control and collaboration using Git/Github.
• Deploy applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, ensuring high availability and scalability.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in web development, and provide recommendations for improvements and optimizations.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in both front end (Vue.js, React, Angular) and back end (Node.js) development.
• Hands-on experience with migration projects, including transitioning between UI frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks such as JEST.
• Familiarity with end-to-end testing tools like Cypress and ViTest.
• Solid understanding of version control systems, preferably Git/Github.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience with Vue.js is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with other front end frameworks such as React and Angular.
• Experience with serverless architectures and microservices.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
