Job DescriptionThis role is responsible for the overall coordination and execution of trade shows from a Marketing perspective, across the Cardinal Health Pharmaceutical & Specialty Solutions Businesses. They will partner with the internal meetings team, as appropriate, to handle logistics, budgeting, and event strategies to ensure successful events. They will approve the design, layout, cost estimates and construction of all exhibits and displays. This role involves negotiating with vendors and service providers to manage costs and services related to exhibits.This role informs and trains team members and internal show attendees, ensuring all event personnel are well-prepared and informed about the show they are attending. Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed for interacting with vendors, clients, and team members. This person will create pre-conference presentation decks and be considered the main point of contact for the marketing and sales teams who are involved with and attend the shows.This role will also oversee the coordination and design of a Cardinal Health “Showcase” that is part of the Retail Business Conference (RBC), a large customer trade show that Cardinal Health hosts annually. This will include working with marketing solution owners from across the pharmaceutical business to learn their annual strategies and messaging that need to be included in the showcase. They will work with a 3rd party exhibit partner to ensure that expectations are being met and that the project is staying within budget. This role also provides graphic design direction and creation as needed.This person will oversee all Pharmaceutical & Specialty Solutions tradeshow and sponsorship spend, create reports and provide direction on where we should cut spending due to low ROI or where we should be focusing more attention/spend. This person should continue to seek optimizations to the tradeshow planning and execution process.This person will work together with Compliance Team to ensure that all criteria is being met before Cardinal Health agrees to sponsor external events. Analyzes data and makes recommendations for RBC & trade show follow-up including QR codes / web links / collateral distribution / lead generation.They will conduct annual RFPs & make final decisions for business valuing $2M+. Will be responsible for overseeing multiple external partners during RBC planning and execution and will also review, amend, and approve contracts on an annual basis.This role has two direct reports that are responsible for managing 200+ small and mid-size trade shows and sponsorships. They will need to manage subordinate goals, performance reviews, hold regular meetings, provide guidance and oversee their workload.ResponsibilitiesDemonstrates knowledge of marketing disciplines and concepts in support of product marketing initiatives including but not limited to tradeshow coordination. Will need to exhibit strong organizational and influencing capabilities in matrix organizations.Must have strong interpersonal and relationship building skills and project management experience. Ability to deliver compliant, professionally produced presentations within defined timeframes.Demonstrates familiarity with Contracts and Framework Agreements, providing usage/spend reports for contracts, and managing the relationship between the company and the contracting authority throughout the period of the contract.Must be available to travel to annual RBC show during one week in July each year (week will vary within July).
