We are seeking an outstanding Certified/Registered Medical Assistant to join our talented clinical support team at Northeastern Eye Institute located in Scranton, PA . In this role, your primary task is to assist with the surgical care of our patients under the supervision of the nursing staff. Additionally, the Medical Assistant will be cross-trained to assist the front desk staff as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Act as a liaison between the physician and the patient
  • Maintenance of equipment, instruments, and accessories
  • General cleanliness, stocking, and inventory of the Clinical area
  • Assist with patient admissions, discharging patients, chart preparation, medical records, and other administrative duties
  • Maintain a compassionate, professional, and courteous manner with patients at all times
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED certificate
  • Certification or Registration as a Medical Assistant
  • Experience in a clinical setting is strongly preferred
  • Experience in ophthalmology is preferred
  • MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL TO OTHER LOCATIONS
