The Woodland office of an established, over 100-year-old Texas law firm has an immediate opening for an associate attorney with 5+ years of civil litigation experience, preferably in personal injury defense and transportation litigation.

The associate will primarily work for a senior partner with a very busy and dynamic practice. We are looking for a person who is a hard-working self-starter. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with a long-term interest in developing their own practice, as we offer a fast partnership track for productive associates. Numerous previous associates are now successful partners at Naman Howell.

Position Qualifications

  1. Experience in handling matters involving personal injury defense and trucking/transportation matters strongly preferred.
  2. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent client service in a timely and efficient manner.
  3. Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex legal principles to non-experts in a succinct and understandable manner.
  4. Detail-oriented problem solver with ability to function in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing priorities.
  5. Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment and meet deadlines.
  6. Collegial and collaborative with a “client first” mindset.

Desired Skills & Experience

  1. 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  2. Admitted to the Texas Bar.
  3. Occasional travel is required.
