Contact Discovery Services, headquartered in Washington DC, offers professional legal services that leverage people, processes, and technology to support law firms and businesses responding to litigation or investigations by government entities such as the DOJ, FTC, or SEC. During the legal discovery process, companies share targeted data such as emails and documents, with a requesting party. During this process, they need to ensure the information is relevant to the case and free of privileged or private content. Contact Discovery Services helps clients collect, process, and format this data, then hosts it in a structured database for attorney review. After the review, our team assists in producing the relevant, non-privileged information for the opposing or requesting party. We are seeking a Project Analyst to support various aspects of the EDRM workflows, with a particular emphasis on administering casework using Relativity.
The ideal candidate will be motivated and enthusiastic about gaining administrative expertise within Relativity in an entry level eDiscovery position. Our team adopts a consultative approach in client interactions and case management, making it essential for all members to understand the entire EDRM, legal case management, and litigation lifecycle. Development and innovation are also a priority within the organization so candidates able to demonstrate a technical understanding of relational databases and/or experience developing custom scripts will be prioritized.
This position includes working with a variety of internal & external team members including Project Managers, forensic team members, business development team, attorneys, company or government representatives, and other legal staff.
DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
- Work closely with other departments to complete complex projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Assist with management of eDiscovery and litigation projects within the Relativity document review platform from processing through review and production including:
- Expertise with administering processing, imaging, and productions.
- Understanding with administering users, groups, permissions, fields, choices, layouts, views, dashboards, searches, STRs, batch sets, dtSearch indexes, ARM, structured analytics, conceptual analytics, and active learning.
- Provide reporting to case administrators related to workspace metrics, user activity, or other requested document based metrics.
- Perform quality checks and detailed analysis on work product prior to document production or additional levels of review.
- Assist in identifying and resolving technical or workflow issues that arise during the eDiscovery process and escalate major issues when needed.
- Knowledge of both Relativity Server and RelativityOne.
- Ability to work certain night and weekend hours to assist the team with coverage.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience.
- Work experience with direct client/customer contact in a professional environment preferred.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively & tactfully both verbally and in written format to all relevant technical & non-technical stakeholders including attorneys, client support staff, and internal team members.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to efficiently gather and process information in a fast‐paced environment under tight deadline.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to comprehend technical content.
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems and the Microsoft Office product suite.
- Ability to demonstrate superior organizational skills with an acute attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in time-sensitive situations and prioritize multiple projects with similar deadlines.
THE FOLLOWING SKILLS ARE PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
- In-depth understanding of the electronic discovery reference model (EDRM).
- Knowledge of litigation support industry including evolution of product offerings and changing dynamics/expectations.
- General knowledge of litigation lifecycle or experience managing litigations.
- Experience with basic scripting in XML, Java, or HTML languages.
- Experience troubleshooting applications and communicating results to support teams.
- Relativity administrator experience.
- Relativity Certified Administrator certification.
- Relativity Specialist certifications.
COMPENSATION:
Competitive salary from $60,000 - $65,000 based on experience; plus performance-based bonuses and the opportunity to participate in our employee profit-sharing program.
