**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum 2 years
**License:** Active Compact or specific state license required
**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (AHA or APEX)
**Must-Have:**
- EPIC experience
- Experience with titratable drips such as amiodarone, cardizem, dobutamine, dopamine, heparin, start nitro, insulin
- First-time travelers are welcome
- Preferable experience with TAVR and CABG
**Job Description:**
- Provide care in a 36-bed unit focusing on cardiac conditions.
- Work with patients diagnosed with CHF, NSTEMI, MI, heart block, pacemaker, TAVR, CABG on day 2, post-cardiac catheterization, Watchman, bradycardia, VT, respiratory failure, sepsis, and other conditions.
- Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:4-5 for mixed PCU and MS patients, 1:5 for all MS patients.
- Titrate and manage drips for cardiac patients.
- Collaborate with a charge nurse who typically does not manage patient assignments.
- Work alongside patient care aides with a ratio of 8-12 patients per aide.
- Utilize various respiratory equipment including BiPAP, high flow oxygen, and stable trach management.
- Interpret telemetry readings with support from a dedicated monitor technician.
- Participate in scheduling coordinated by the charge nurse, with a requirement of 4 weekend days per month and 3 out of 5 holidays.
- Potential to float to ICU within patient population and Medical-Surgical floors.
- Attend a single day of unit-specific orientation and additional clinical education.
- Adhere to the dress code of navy blue scrubs.
