Vantage Point Consulting is seeking a multi-media designer to join our growing training development and user-experience design team as a 1099 contractor with the option to convert to W2 in the future. We are seeking creatives who value creative freedom, are energized by client interaction, and have a talent for developing engaging graphics, 3D animation, and short videos that support training courses, job aid development, and other learning experiences.
This position is fully remote, but candidates will need to possess the ability to travel occasionally to client sites for design thinking, end-user testing, or storyboarding workshops. As a designer at Vantage Point, you will receive immediate opportunities to interact directly with clients, assume design leadership roles on client engagements or products, and gain exposure to a variety of tools and methods. You will be provided with the freedom to express your talent and further develop your skillset as part of a talented team of instructional designers, UI/UX designers, business analysts, and technologists. Job responsibilities will include:
- Facilitation of design thinking workshops with clients and stakeholders (User personas, journey maps, big ideas).
- Align the multimedia content with training goals and outcomes.
- Outline the visual, audio, and interactive elements for multimedia training, ensuring the content supports the learning objectives.
- Create or integrate interactive elements like quizzes, simulations, branching scenarios, and drag-and-drop activities.
- Develop video content, including animation, screen recordings, tutorials, or instructional videos.
- Record, edit, and integrate narration, sound effects, and background music into training materials.
- Design and implement visual elements, including infographics, illustrations, and animations, to support the training content.
- Utilize eLearning tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or Camtasia to develop multimedia content.
- Work with software like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) for graphic design, video editing, and animation.
- Collaborate closely with SMEs to gather and understand the technical content, ensuring accuracy and relevance in the multimedia training materials.
- Incorporate feedback from SMEs, stakeholders, and learners to refine and enhance visual course content.
- Develop content that adheres to accessibility standards such as Section 508 or WCAG, ensuring the training is usable by individuals with disabilities.
- Conduct testing to ensure the training is user-friendly and effective across different platforms and devices.
- Keep current with industry trends in multimedia design, learning technologies, and instructional techniques.
Key skill requirements include:
- Video production: Proficiency in video recording, editing, and producing instructional videos, screen recordings, and animations.
- Graphic design: Ability to create and manipulate images, infographics, and visual assets that enhance learning materials.
- Animation: Skill in developing 2D or 3D animations to visualize concepts and procedures.
- Audio editing: Experience with recording, editing, and integrating voiceovers, music, and sound effects.
- Collaboration: Experience working with cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts (SMEs), instructional designers, and stakeholders.

Key Tools:
- eLearning authoring tools: Expertise in tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia for creating interactive eLearning content.
- Multimedia software: Proficiency in tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects) for video editing, graphic design, and animation.
- Nice to Have: Virtual Reality/Immersive Gamification development tools such as Unity.
Education and Experience:
Ideal candidates have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in design, multi-media design, or similar and additional tools training and certifications.
