LHH is searching for a Director of Finance for a fast growing manufacturing client. The Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company. Duties include overseeing accounting/finance departments, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, advising the CFO on best practices for company finances, and coming up with strategic plans to improve the company’s overall financial health.


Key Responsibilities

  • Accounting: Overseeing the accounting, payroll, accounts payable, & accounts receivable departments, supervising and reviewing external audits, evaluating accounting and internal central systems, and hiring, training and retraining accounting staff
  • Financial reporting: Preparing internal and external financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing cycles
  • Budgets: Managing the budget process
  • Forecasting: Helping guide the company's strategic financial decisions
  • Compliance: Ensuring the company adheres to all relevant laws and regulations, such as GAAP, International Financial Reporting Standards, and SEC financial reporting regulations
  • Performance metrics: Developing and monitoring financial performance metrics
  • Process improvement: Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes



The Director of Finance will need to have the following qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence decision-making.
  • Proven leadership capabilities, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think analytically and provide actionable insights to support business objectives.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
