Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in sales within the hospitality or events industry, with a proven track record in achieving sales targets
  • Demonstrated ability in leading and managing a sales team in a dynamic environment
  • Strong client relationship management skills, with experience in handling high-profile clients
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in CRM and sales management software
  • In-depth knowledge of event planning and execution, with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to multitask, manage multiple projects, and work under tight deadlines
  • Financial acumen, including budget management and P&L responsibility

Responsibilities

  • As the Director of Sales, you will occupy a dynamic role overseeing private event sales across all PH-managed restaurants, directly reporting to the head of Sales
  • Your responsibilities include managing the process of private dining reservations, coordinating storewide buyouts, and orchestrating partner events, with a focus on generating new sales prospects through Business Development Representative (BDR) initiatives and client relationships
  • You will also be responsible for overseeing sales strategies, processes, and procedures for all PH concepts
  • This leadership position is expected to demonstrate and abide by Parker Hospitality’s company core values
  • Generate event sales by scouting new business opportunities and nurturing existing client relationships across all Parker Hospitality locations
  • Act as the primary contact for clients, managing event planning, contract development, detailing, and coordinating with restaurant and store teams for execution
  • Collaborate with PH operations teams (Food & Beverage, Management, Front of House, Event Sales Managers) in event preparation
  • Conduct additional client meetings and walk-throughs to finalize event details
  • Work closely with store-level Event Sales Managers to oversee large private events from inception to conclusion, including booking, planning, and execution
  • Create customized proposals, contracts, and event orders, tailoring packages to individual client needs
  • Provide post-event recaps, offering operational, sales, and production insights to the team
  • Manage fiscal responsibilities, including rentals, supplies, and labor costs
  • Develop and implement annual and quarterly business development plans
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in events and catering
  • Implement PH private dining standards across all managed properties
  • Conduct quarterly audits of private dining operations at all managed locations
  • Lead the event sales team, providing strategic sales coaching, and constructive feedback
  • Support the event sales team in strategic planning and long-term selling strategies
  • Lead weekly meetings with the event sales and marketing team
  • Participate in weekly management meetings at restaurants
  • Present at monthly P&L reviews, discussing private dining performance and strategies
  • Facilitate communication and referral selling among restaurant sales teams
  • Engage in local event networking activities with the sales team
  • Ensure prompt response to all leads by the sales team within the same business day
  • Share industry trends, strategies, and news with on-site restaurant teams
  • Communicate specific event requirements of properties to the Restaurant General Managers
  • Report weekly sales performance and quarterly forecasts to the Director of Marketing/COO
  • Monitor private dining performance against quarterly quotas and goals
  • Collaborate with restaurant General Managers to align sales and pricing strategies for market competitiveness
  • Assist in catering menu development with restaurant Executive Chefs
  • Work with the Finance Department to ensure PCI compliance within the event sales team and managed restaurants
