Analyst

Steptoe LLP, a Washington, DC-based Am Law 100 firm, is actively seeking an Analyst to support the Firm's International Trade and Regulatory Compliance practice group in its Washington, DC office.

Essential Functions

1. Conduct research and draft political, economic, market and reputational risk analysis
2. Contribute analysis to the Steptoe risk publication
3. Conduct media monitoring and compile news and analysis summaries
4. Attend policy discussions at Washington-area think tanks and Congressional hearings
5. Contribute to due diligence investigations
6. Interact with clients to assess needs and provide support
7. Other duties may be assigned to fully meet the requirements of the position

Non-Essential Functions

1. Complete other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

1. Masters degree in International Affairs, Political Science or a relevant field
2. Minimum one year experience analyzing policy or security issues pertaining to Europe or Latin America
3. Proficiency in one or more foreign languages desired

Work Environment

1. Available to work in the office 9:00 - 5:30 pm Monday through Friday.
2. Hybrid work arrangements may be available for this position
