We are a pioneering organization in the space industry, committed to advancing technology for satellite operations, space exploration, and beyond. We are looking for a talented Simulation and Emulation Engineer to join our innovative team, where you will play a critical role in developing and testing simulations that support our space missions and systems.


Position Summary: As a Simulation and Emulation Engineer, you will design, implement, and validate simulation models for various space systems, including satellite operations, mission planning, and spacecraft dynamics. Your expertise will help ensure the reliability and performance of our space missions by providing realistic scenarios for testing and analysis.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain high-fidelity simulation models for space systems, including spacecraft, payloads, and ground operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to define simulation requirements and objectives for upcoming missions.
  • Implement emulation environments to replicate operational scenarios and assess system performance under various conditions.
  • Conduct performance analysis and validation of simulation results against real-world data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Utilize simulation tools and software to create and analyze models.
  • Experience with SQL, Elastic search and Kibana preferred
  • Support mission planning and operational readiness by providing simulation results and recommendations.
  • Document simulation methodologies, processes, and results for knowledge sharing and compliance purposes.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in simulation and emulation relevant to the space industry.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven experience in simulation and emulation, preferably within the aerospace or defense sectors.
  • Strong understanding of spacecraft dynamics, orbital mechanics, and space mission design.
  • Proficiency in simulation software and tools (Python, etc.).
  • Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and RTOS (Real-Time-Operating-Systems) principles and practices is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with satellite systems and their operational requirements.
  • Experience in software development and coding, particularly for simulation applications.
