Software Engineer, Levels up to Principal and Lead, Golang, NATS, Microservices
Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid)
Compensation: 150k midpoint, commensurate with experience, bonus, benefits

Summary
Our client, a digital manufacturing company based in Massachusetts, is constantly looking for Software Engineers with deep expertise in Golang and a strong desire to create applications for high-load systems to enable digital manufacturing at industrial scale.
Technologies used include Go, Postgres, Redis, gRPC, NATS, Docker, Kubernetes, and HELM, with a focus on seamless deployment through Gitlab CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Implement your own decisions on the product.
- Build and maintain infrastructure hosted in the cloud, collaborating with a team of 15 Go Engineers.
- Build and expand distributed systems, working with data and improving the ecosystem components.
- Monitor and improve server-side performance and expand product functionality through integration.
- Write unit, integration, and load tests as necessary.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
- Write and review technical documents, and improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
Qualifications
- Experience with Go, Postgres, Redis, gRPC, NATS, Docker, and other technologies mentioned.
- Team player who listens, shares vision, and works independently.
- Passion for Golang with a commitment to quality and technical excellence.
- Strong general experience in back-end development.
- Digital manufacturing experience is a plus.
