We are seeking an experienced and charismatic host to join our team and play a pivotal role in creating exceptional guest experiences.


Job Description:

The host will oversee front-of-house operations, ensuring seamless service, managing reservations, and delivering an exceptional dining experience. This role requires an experienced hospitality professional with a passion for customer service, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to create a warm and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests warmly and manage seating arrangements to optimize table turnover
  • Oversee reservations through online platforms (e.g., Resy, Toast) and manage guest flow throughout service
  • Coordinate closely with the kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service
  • Address guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally
  • Manage and train front-of-house staff to maintain high standards of hospitality
  • Monitor the dining room ambiance, including lighting and music, to enhance the guest experience
  • Assist in curating the guest experience, including managing VIPs and special events
  • Handle last-minute reservation changes, cancellations, and walk-ins with grace
  • Maintain a calm, polished demeanor, especially during peak service hours
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Advanced Skills and Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of French cuisine, wine, and beverage service
  • Expertise with reservation systems and table management platforms (e.g., Toast, Resy)
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with guests
  • Experience managing front-of-house operations, including training and mentoring staff
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle high-pressure situations gracefully
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Bilingual abilities (preferred but not required)
  • Understanding of hospitality trends and best practices

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in fine dining or high-end establishments
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a front-of-house team
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform light lifting
  • Food Handler Certification and Responsible Alcohol Service Certification (preferred)
