ISS is seeking a dynamic Research Solutions Product Manager to spearhead the Governance, Research, and Voting (GRV) product line, championing our expanding business opportunities by seamlessly integrating Environmental and Social data into GRV operations. This pivotal role reports directly to the Head of Research Solutions Product.
Within the Research Solutions team, you'll lead the charge in developing and overseeing a diverse array of cutting-edge, research-driven products and solutions. This portfolio includes Climate initiatives, ESG Ratings (spanning Corporate, Country, and Fund Ratings), Norm-Based Research, SDG Solutions, Nature and Biodiversity offerings, and innovative solutions for alternative assets. ISS is the foremost provider of corporate governance solutions globally, serving over 1,700 clients who rely on its expertise for informed investment decisions on behalf of company owners. Their comprehensive services encompass objective governance research, proxy voting solutions, securities class-action claims management, reliable governance data tools, and a full suite of environmental and social services. ISS ESG solutions empower investors to develop and implement responsible investing policies, engage on relevant issues, and monitor portfolio companies through screening solutions. This also includes providing climate data, analytics, and advisory services to understand and act on climate-related risks across asset classes, along with corporate and country ESG research and ratings for identifying material social and environmental risks and opportunities.
The Role
- Collaborate with institutional business teams to refine product strategy, identify new opportunities, and prioritize enhancements for ISS Governance Research Solutions, maximizing revenues.
- Conduct market research and competitive intelligence assessments to assess industry trends, client needs, and the competitive landscape for ISS Governance Research.
- Develop and maintain product vision and roadmaps to align with evolving market needs and corporate priorities.
- Lead ISS Governance Research initiatives, serving as a project leader and content expert for internal and external consultations, requirement development, test procedures, training, quality assurance, and user acceptance.
- Define business requirements, test procedures, and training plans for Governance Research, supporting data analysts.
- Assist account management and sales teams by serving as the content expert in presenting research solutions to prospects and clients.
- Lead cross-functional resources for timely product launches.
- Represent ISS in client and market forums, including webcasts, client events, and industry forums.
What You Bring To ISS
- Superior analysis, presentation and communication skills
- Deep understanding of the corporate governance or sustainability landscape
- Excellent project management and time-management skills
- Strong leadership skills, able to work well in a cross-functional team environment
- Strong background in understanding and servicing clients
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business
- Minimum of five years’ experience in corporate governance, sustainability, or related field
