Job Title: Senior Litigation Attorney
Location: Oakland, CA (Hybrid Schedule)
A prestigious international litigation law firm, known for its expertise in handling complex insurance disputes and litigation matters, is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join its Oakland, CA team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned attorney with 5-8 years of experience in first-party property insurance litigation to contribute to high-stakes cases and collaborate with a diverse portfolio of clients!
Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of insurance defense exclusively, representing major insurance companies
- Specialize in first-party property insurance litigation and coverage disputes
- Conduct thorough examination of insurance claims and provide coverage opinion letters
- Draft pleadings, discovery requests, and other legal documents
- Attend hearings, mediations, and depositions on behalf of clients
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes
- Engage in catastrophic insurance work as needed
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the State Bar of California
- 5-8 years of experience in first-party property insurance litigation
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging legal environment
