About the job CNC Programmer
Key Responsibilities:

  • Program jobs using MasterCam 2024 or G/M codes to create parts according to customer specifications.
  • Set up and operate various machining equipment, including lathes, mills, and CNC machines, to produce parts as per engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Analyze work orders, blueprints, and engineering plans to determine the necessary machining process, tooling, and materials for each project.
  • Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of machines and tools, performing routine checks and adjustments to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineers, schedulers, and team members to discuss project requirements, provide input on design for manufacturability, and troubleshoot potential issues.
  • Monitor machining processes to ensure product quality and adherence to tolerance standards, making necessary adjustments to maintain precision.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of finished parts using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges, making corrections as needed to meet quality standards.
  • Follow established safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and machining techniques to enhance skills and contribute to process improvements.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machining is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Machinist, demonstrating proficiency in operating various machining equipment and tools.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Enthusiasm and dedication to both team and individual progression.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate production.
  • Required knowledge of CNC programming and operation; experience with MasterCam is a bonus.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Adherence to safety regulations and best practices in machining.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to lift, carry, and move heavy packages or equipment as needed.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks, drug screenings, and comply with relevant safety regulations.
